Summer

Temps reached 110 today. It feels like summer and smells like summer and a part of me wants to run away from this place and the memories of that August night.

Then I remember the long summer days that were filled with water balloons and rocket sprinklers and digging for gold and I realize that summer is not all bad.

Can you please pray for me?  I am feeling emotional and a little on edge tonight.

I also covet your prayers for the Haven of Hope Retreat this coming Friday through Sunday.  Please pray for God to prepare the hearts of those attending and to encourage the hearts of those that are leading. It truly is a privilege to serve the Lord and my fellow sisters in Christ. I am excited to see God's hand this weekend!

To God be the glory.

The will of God will never take you...
where the grace of God cannot keep you, where the arms of God cannot support you, where the riches of God cannot supply your needs, where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you...
where the Spirit of God cannot work through you, where the wisdom of God cannot teach you, where the army of God cannot protect you, where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you...
where the love of God cannot enfold you, where the mercies of God cannot sustain you, where the peace of God cannot calm your fears, where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you...
where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears, where the Word of God cannot feed you, where the miracles of God cannot be done for you, where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

I love you with all my heart. Praying for you and for all of the mothers who are attending the retreat this weekend.

Praying for you and the other ladies. Our Lord is glorified as you continue to offer the sacrifice of praise.

Like the widow with the two mites, you praise Him, not with a portion of abundance for men to see. Instead, you praise Him with all you have for your good and His glory.

Ever since little Coconut has come, I have found myself praying for you at the oddest times. I was even praying for the retreat the other day. I will keep praying that it will be used of God to comfort the hurting, to bring deep peace. It reminds me of the account of Jesus telling the wind and waves to be be still. I am praying that tonight He will calm your soul in the same way.

This life is so short and days (nights) like this are the ones where it's hard to truly remember that we will see Christian very soon and eternity will be ours to enjoy.

I love you Marsha! Thank you for being willing to put your pain out where all can see that Jesus would exhalted and God glorified.

No words of wisdom- just know that you are in my prayers. God places you and your family on my heart often, Marsha. I'll also be praying for your retreat. Thank you for being such an example and reminder to give God the glory.

We're staying cool here in Dallas - it only reached 108. :)

I will be praying that the Lord gives you the strength to be a blessing and comfort to the women at the retreat. AND that He will comfort you as well. You are such an example of a Godly attitude in the midst of tragedy. I am amazed to see how you are reaching out to others even through your pain. May He bless you abundantly for your faithfulness.

No pithy words of encouragement, no platitudes happen to come to mind right now...

But you're always, always on my mind and how I wish I could pick up the phone and call you right now!

I'm praying.

I love you.
