TERIYAKI CHICKEN (aka chicken teriyaki, terribly clever, huh?)
3-4 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 c. soy sauce
2 1/2 c. water
1 c. brown sugar
1 T. chopped garlic
2 T. worchesteshire sauce
1/2 c. pineapple juice (or 8oz can whatever pineapple w/juice you have on hand)
1. Whisk marinade ingredients, making sure brown sugar is fully dissolved.
2. Add chicken to marinade.
3. Marinate* at least overnight. I prefer 24 hours for more infused flavor.
4. Set grill to medium heat and cook until internal temperature reaches 165F. (Okay, I just cook it until it looks done with no pink inside. Does it sound more pro to have the temp warning?)
*Marinade is a noun. Marinate is a verb. I never gave it much thought until I was writing this recipe down. You can read more about the distinction here if you are so inclined. (You can still learn in the summer! I know, I'm such a dork.)
I'm linking this up with Robyn at Our Homeschool Home.

Oh yum! That looks SO good... and easy! Definitely a good thing during the summer. :) Thanks for the recipe!
That looks really good! I'll have to print this. :)
Looks yummy! Going to try this SOON! Love you!!!
Hey....
You stole my marinade recipe!!
I've been using this for years....it's also good with orange juice and a little wine thrown in; I love to cook with wine!
It looks yummy and has me craving chicken. It would go so well with your summer slaw recipe!
Mmmm yum!
Looks yummy! Will definitely be trying this.
Great idea! I get into such a rut with grilling chicken - almost always marinate in Italian dressing - so this will really help. We're on the road right now (visiting/meetings in TX this week then back to cool IL until we finally move down here) - but will print this up when I'm back home and saying "Hmmm...what about dinner??"
Nom nom nom nom...
MMMMMMM!
That looks wonderful!! :o)
This sauce looks fantastic! I'm so trying this, thanks!
I know this joke is overdone, but alas it is 8:11pm and with 2 small kids my brain is fried, so here goes nothing. "What time shall I come?" The chicken looks fab!
This sounds delicious. We often marinate our chicken in orange juice before we grill it, but this sounds better. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Marcia
