So here I am just writing this down when I have no clue what else I'm going to say. You know it's bad when I don't even post a picture for Sweet Shot Tuesday!
I signed my boys up for Classical Conversations this week. They will be taking the Essentials class. Any of y'all doing CC this year?
We celebrated Noah's 9th birthday today. I was too busy having fun to take pictures or write out my thoughts on the day he was born. In honor of his birthday, I had a piece of Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cake-- mint chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate cake. I sacrificed my low-carb diet for my son. It's a mother's love, y'all.
Tomorrow is my sister Coco's birthday. I have a few pictures I want to post, but when I realize that she has worse pictures of me, I dare not take the first step in a picture war that I am bound to lose. No one else would think the pictures are particularly bad or ugly, but we would. Why are we always our own worst critics? And when we goof around, why do we worry about other people thinking we're stupid?
Okay, that's it from me.
What's going on with y'all? Anything interesting or, better yet, WEIRD?
(I can't believe I'm going to publish this without a picture. Makes me wonder if I'm getting sick.)

In other random news, we are having your chicken for dinner Friday night. (Unless of course, my mother-in-law wants to cook dinner for us, in which case I will NOT be guilty of denying that woman her right to happiness.) And would you believe, after buying Mahatma yellow rice at Podunk grocery, I found Vigo--quite by accident--in Fred's Dollar Store of all places, and on clearance, no less!
Was it you that mentioned random and disjointed? :)

No picture? That is weird. No CC for us. I have some friends who do it and love it. It's not quite for me. I got my new sofa today. I love it. It is a bit stiff though and needs some working into to soften it up. I am so happy with the color. I was so afraid that it wouldn't match the carpet. that would have been bad, since I had it ordered with the fabric I chose. It is very nice though. I will post a pic soon. I need to take a better photo of it. Plus right now I am too lazy to upload pics. I need a snack. I think I will go get a bowl of ice cream.
Slumpity slump slump. I'm in one too. No worries. Oh,and if you don't think other people will think a pic of me would be bad or stupid, then go ahead and post. I really wouldn't post a pic of you without running it by you first. I love you too much. :D I really do! You're the BEST!
Same here, I don't think I have anything worth saying right now. We're bound to come out of it, right?
Hugs to you and Happy Birthday to your family members celebrating their b-days!!!
I know what you mean... sometimes there just isn't anything to say!! ;) Happy Birthday to Noah and Coco!

I hope you have a great year with CC! Yes, we women are so picky about our pictures. My husband tried to take some of me this weekend, and they were so icky. I finally decided it was just me. :-P
I don't think that anything too weird has happened lately. My life basically consists of taking care of the family and taking care of the animals. Real animals, family members are not included in that catagory. ;o)
Lol, you make me smile. Happy belated birthday to your son and sister. I'm usually on the computer around midnight too. I'm glad to hear there are other night owls out here in blog land. Maybe it has something to do with our name :-)
Blessings,
Marcia
so nothing to say to your nothing post except I have nothing to say all the time. soooo frustrating. I will say however, that I just read your little profile blurp on the side of your blog and it makes me smile. :)
I'm sure you'll be back in action in no time!
(Can ya tell I don't have much to say either :)
I'm struggling too...but I didn't post a THING for a week...
I'm hoping someone will buy our house and we can move soon. Right now? Just waiting and trusting that it will happen in God's timing- not my own impatient timing.
I have to tell you....I FINALLY did a family photo like you suggested.
We got it in only 1 take, I couldn't believe it!

well, i've been in a slump for over a year now. it isn't necessarily that i have nothing to say, but that i can't seem to (or am too lazy to) actually pull my thoughts together into a coherent, cohesive, halfway interesting post. notice i have no problem posting on facebook. that's bc it doesn't take a lot to just post one random, disjointed thought.
and lately, with all our agonzing over whether to send my 9th-grader to school next year combined with a lot of philosophical thoughts i've had about homeschooling, the slump is compounded by the fact that i probably have too MUCH to say wouldn't even know where to start.
classical conversations, hmmm. a group just started in our area last year, and i went to a meeting & an open house for this coming year. i like it in some ways, but decided against it for various reasons, at least at this point. (at my kids ages, they'd be in the challenge program, which is more comprehensive and pretty rigorous. i think it'd be a better fit for fuzz than for spaz.) we live in homeschool mecca over here and have LOTS of other options for outside-the-home classes.
ooh, ouch. sorry about the lousy editing in the 2nd pgh. :-( i misspelled one word and left out another entirely. maybe i shouldn't have taken the summer off...
I goof around all the time, and I am loud and noticeable...and people think I am weird. Or strange. Or annoying. Doesn't bother me a bit. Unless they think i am rude and then I need to go to a different place to be strange because really, I don't even like to put up with rude people. But God Forbid someone see that I haven't had time to get a lip or brow wax and mention it to me while looking at pictures. I would die.
I have had stuff to "write about" but it has been short on the funny and tall on the thoughtful and dull.
so in my head it stays.
