"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To Proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."
-Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV (emphasis mine)

Very beautiful picture. I want to be a tree too. That's a great post Marshy. I love you!
I want to be a tree. I pray that God would allow me to grow tall and have great, spreading branches with lush, green leaves.
Beautiful picture.
Beautiful photo! I love the way you did the conversion. =)
we talked about trees at our ladies' bible study friday night.
Beautiful. It reminds me of the book, The Three Trees. I want to be used where I'm planted....
Amen, sister
Hi, Marsha! I just gave you a blog award. Check out my blog for details. =)
That is a great reminder! I think you are right too about making sure we really pray when we say we will. Sometimes there is no words for pain you are going through and truly praying and checking on on people is an amazing thing. Sometimes just sitting there handing them kleenex and not offering empty words is better.....
beautiful. absolutely beautiful - picture, Word, woman - beautiful.
The tree is just gorgeous! As is all of God's creation...and what a nice connection to that verse...I see how we should all be trees, pointing to and glorifying God! :D
Beautiful! Praying for you often, thankful to consider you a friend!
