Frugal Funny

We are always talking about saving money, coupons and The Grocery Game around here.  I having been cutting out coupons on a weekly basis for years now, done one terrible TV news story on it, and we are always saying "Coupons are money!"  I had to chuckle at this conversation I overheard in the car today.

Tank:  Look at the horses in that field!

Dash:  Oooo!  Mia loves horses! (Mia is a close friend of the family)

Tank:  How much do you think they cost?

Dash:  Ummmm...I think they're free with a coupon.

That is too cute! But, that's good...get them thinkin' "coupons" and "bargains" earlyin life!! BTW, your comment on my blog makes perfect sense...pick what you know the other one wants...ahh, isn't it wonderful to know that even though our children don't know each other, they still have so much in common! Are you feelin' better???

Don't tell Girl 2!!! She'll be making her own coupons for free horses and trying to pass them on to unsuspecting owners.

LOL! You're children are great!

I wasn't actually HIRED as a motel maid. I just went with my friend every once in awhile and helped her. I did get paid for it. Jet engine mechanic, that's what I did in the Navy. It's not really a big jump if you're waiting for boot camp and you were just trying to kill time.

First off, let me say I am glad you don't have a TOO-MAH!! (that is so cute!).

Also, does the grocery game actually work? I saw your link to it on your blog a few days ago and checked it out but I am just wondering if it's worth the trouble. I always save the coupons that come in the paper and mail but when it comes down to clipping and using them, they expire before I get a chance to! I would love to hear your take on it! Email me if you want: amberleoda@aol.com. Thanks Marsha!

Hope you guys have a great weekend!

That is so funny! Just don't let our 6-year-old know. He's been asking for a horse lately. :-) Thanks for your encouraging words on my blog. Also, I got your questions answered. You will find them in the comment section under the blog. BTW we had a good day today. Hope you're doing better.

That is TOO FUNNY! I'll have to hope DD dosn't come across any ideas, or else she'll be searching the papers and the net for that coupon!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog. You really do always seem to know what to say. Day by day, bit by bit. I guess the plan hasn't changed all that much. Except now, it's peppered with hearing "Ticku Ticku" when I walk into a room with Lilly. She likes to be tickled, LOL.

Aren't kids just the funniest little things! Yours, I must say, are super cute.

And about the snow-jealousy thing... sweetie, go read my latest snow entry and let those babies of yours make their own snowflakes! In fact, let 'em make thousands of paper snowflakes, then throw them all up in the air and they can pretend they're 'playing in the snow'! Awesome, inspiring idea, doncha think?

OOOH! That just reminded me of something our kids done a couple of years ago. I'll have to go dig up the picture and post an entry about it. You can come check it out.
